Google News – Rich Cards

Google has done it Again!

It never fails! We have been hard at work researching and tweaking you website to give you the greatest access to new customers looking for you services. We are doing pretty good and your website is climbing higher and higher on the first page of Google. As we complete the work and feel good about it, Google changes how they do things and poof your results are now in jeopardy!

Is Google out to get businesses? No. It’s just that they are always looking for ways to improve the customer’s experience. They want people to use their search engine (yes, there is that word again) and they know that making it easy and improved is what people want.

The latest is Google will now use “Rich Cards” as a way of featuring which websites they recommend to customers. I know what you are think. What are rich cards? Well, I will say it as simple as I can. Here we go!

At one time Google would display search results just with words which they referred to as “Standard Results”, then they changed to “Rich Snippets”, and now …. you got it… Rich Cards!

Currently, Google says they are only doing this in two categories: Recipes and Movies. But, if they find that users like it, you can bet they will do it in more search results. Thankfully, we are here to help you navigate this change as well. We will keep you up to date on everything you need to know as we go forward.

If you have any questions, as always, let us know!
